Looking for a Padel Point app alternative? What Bajada adds and what you give up

Quick answer

Most players should stay on Padel Point: its site says every feature is free, and it runs tournaments. Bajada, our app, is the alternative if you want to score on an iPhone or iPad, or double tap on Apple Watch. It gives 3 free matches, then costs £19.99 once.

Looking for a Padel Point app alternative? We make one, Bajada, so read this as a maker's comparison. Our short answer is that many Padel Point users have no reason to leave: it costs nothing and does more than Bajada in most rows of the table below. This page shows the rows where Bajada does better, so you can decide whether they matter to you.

Everything about Padel Point comes from its App Store pages and its own website, checked on 6 November 2026. We did not install it for this comparison. Everything about Bajada comes from our own code and store pages.

Which Padel Point are we comparing?

Four App Store apps have nearly the same name, which is easy to get wrong when you search. This page covers Padel Point - Track your score, by Frederique De Sousa, App Store id 6743722817. It is the one padelpoint.app links to.

The other three are separate apps by other developers: Padel Point by Jm Digital Ltd (id 6755204825), Padel Point - Americano by Samer Alsaqqa (id 6496971464) and Padel Point Counter by Oliver Zwack (id 6798667419). Nothing below applies to them.

We built this table for anyone thinking of moving. The Padel Point column comes from its store pages, site and feature guide; the Bajada column comes from our code. "Not stated" means we found nothing on those pages, and the app may still do it.

Who should stay on Padel Point?

Stay if any of these describes you:

  • You wear a Huawei Watch. Bajada has no Huawei app.
  • You run Americano, Mexicano or King of the Court nights. Padel Point makes the rounds and keeps the leaderboard, and Bajada only scores the match in front of you.
  • You want to pay nothing. Bajada asks for money after your third match.
  • You play Silver Point, or a third set with no tie-break.
  • You want the score read out, shown on a big screen or replayed point by point.
  • Your watch cannot run watchOS 11, or your phone cannot run iOS 18.

Who might prefer Bajada?

The list is shorter. Bajada makes sense if you keep score on a phone or an iPad at the side of the court, or if you play without a watch at all. It also suits you if you want double tap on the wrist so your racket hand stays on the racket, or if XP levels and badges would get you scoring every match. A smaller app can be a plus too: Bajada does one job, and the Bajada home page shows all of it.

Bajada Progress screen: the player level with an XP bar, then daily, weekly and monthly challenges with their XP rewards.
Real Bajada screen, with demo data.

Is Padel Point really free?

As far as we can read, yes. Its site says "No subscription" and that every feature is unlocked from your first match. All three store pages we checked showed the app as free, with no in-app purchases listed, while Bajada's page shows "In-App Purchases" in the same spot.

Release notes for version 4.6.0 mention a tip jar in the app, and the site links to Buy Me a Coffee and carries Amazon affiliate links. We did not open the app, so we can only report what those pages say.

What are Bajada's limits?

  • It is new, with 0 ratings in the UK, Spain and Italy. Nobody else has vouched for it on the store yet.
  • The free part is 3 matches. After that, scoring needs Bajada Pro, and without it your history shows only your last 5 matches.
  • It runs on Apple devices only.
  • It always plays a tie-break when a set is level on games, so a third set with no tie-break is not an option.
  • The final-set shortcut is the super tie-break to 10; a 7-point match tie-break is not an option.
  • On a deciding point the receivers choose their side, and Bajada's side marker does not know what they chose.

The guide to padel scoring explains those rules, and the comparison of padel score apps sets both apps against four others. If the watch is your main concern, see how to keep padel score on Apple Watch.

How do you try Bajada without leaving Padel Point?

You do not have to choose straight away, because the two apps can sit side by side.

  1. Keep Padel Point installed. Bajada has no import, so your history stays where it is. If you want your own copy, use Settings, then Export Data, in Padel Point.
  2. Install Bajada on your iPhone and open it once. If you have an Apple Watch, the watch gets your free matches from the phone.
  3. Tap Customize Match and set your rule: Golden Point, Star Point or Advantage.
  4. Score a real match, tapping the side that won each point.
  5. Decide after your 3 free matches.

If you want to try it, get Bajada on the App Store and play your first 3 matches free. Think we got a Padel Point fact wrong? The support page reaches the maker directly, and we will correct it.

Questions

What is a good Padel Point app alternative?+

We make Bajada, so we are not neutral. It suits players who want to score on an iPhone or iPad as well as an Apple Watch, double tap on the watch, or see XP levels and badges. If you want other options, our comparison of padel score apps covers four more. If Padel Point already does what you need, staying is the sensible choice.

Is Padel Point really free?+

Why would someone switch from Padel Point to Bajada?+

Can I move my Padel Point matches to Bajada?+

No. Padel Point can export your history, but Bajada has no import. Your old matches stay in Padel Point, and you can keep both apps installed.
