Padel Watch alternative: what changes if you switch to Bajada
Stay on Padel Watch if you want free scoring without limits, an older Apple Watch or break-point stats. Try Bajada, our app, if you want iPhone and iPad scoring, Americano and a one-time price. On 6 November 2026 Padel Watch had 96 ratings across the UK, Spain and Italy; Bajada had none.

Looking for a Padel Watch alternative? We make one, Bajada, so read this as a maker's comparison, and for some players the honest answer below is to stay where they are. Every fact about Padel Watch comes from its App Store pages in the UK, Spain and Italy and from its own site, checked on 6 November 2026. Bajada's facts come from our own code.
Which Padel Watch is this article about?
Two apps have almost the same name. This article is about Padel Watch: Padel Scorekeeper, App Store id 6443518532. That is the app behind padel.watch: every App Store link on the site's English, Spanish and Italian pages goes to that id, and the store page names padel.watch as the developer's site. In Spain it is listed as Padel Watch: Cuenta tus puntos, and in Italy as Padel Watch: Conta i punti.
The other one is PadelWatch: Score & Shot Stats, id 6757535190, written as one word. It comes from a different developer, Vitor Gustavo Hornburg, came out on 28 January 2026 and leads with stroke detection. Nothing below applies to it.
Should you switch from Padel Watch?
Stay on Padel Watch if:
- You want to keep score for free for as long as you play. Its site says the counter is unlimited and free; Bajada stops at 3 matches without Pro.
- Your devices are older. It asks for watchOS 8.5 and iOS 15. Bajada asks for watchOS 11 and iOS 18.
- You study your matches. Its subscription adds set-by-set stats, break points, the longest point streak and a point-by-point Match Replay. Bajada has none of those four.
- Your group plays odd formats, such as a set with no tie-break or an unusual number of games.
- You want an app with a record. It has been on the store since September 2022 and has 96 ratings across three countries. Bajada has none.
Try Bajada if:
- You want to score on an iPhone or iPad, with or without a watch.
- You play Americano. Bajada scores it; Padel Watch's pages do not mention it.
- You would rather pay once than subscribe.
- You want the app in a language Padel Watch does not offer, such as German or French.
- You like levels, challenges and badges on top of the score.

What do you gain and lose by switching to Bajada?
We built this table for this article, row by row, from the sources at the end and from Bajada 1.3.1's code. "Not stated" means neither its store page nor its site mentions it; the app may still do it.
| Feature | Padel Watch | Bajada | If you switch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scoring with no payment | Unlimited, says its site | First 3 matches, then Pro | Lose |
| Paying once | Premium is monthly or annual | Lifetime, one payment | Gain |
| Scoring on the watch | Yes | Yes | Same |
| Scoring on the iPhone | Unclear, see below | Yes | Unclear |
| iPad app | Not listed | Yes | Gain |

| 40-40 rules | Advantage, golden point, Star Point | The same three | Same |
| Games per set | You set the number | 4, 6 or 9 | Lose |
| Set with no tie-break | "With or without tie-break" | Always a tie-break when a set is level | Lose |

| Levels, challenges, badges | Not stated | XP levels, challenges and 47 badges | Gain |
| Share a result | Image for posts or stories; stats for subscribers | Result card image | Same |
| Languages | 5 | 29 | Gain |
| Your saved matches | Stay in the app | Bajada cannot import them | Lose |
| Android | No | No | Same |
That is 10 rows you lose, 7 you gain, 5 that stay the same, 1 mixed and 1 unclear. Do not decide on the count. For most players two rows settle it: scoring with no payment, and scoring on the iPhone.

Is Padel Watch free, and what does Bajada cost after 3 matches?
Padel Watch's scoring is free. Its site says the counter can be used "unlimited and free of charge", and that advanced statistics and other features may need a subscription. The June 2026 release notes put Match Replay behind the subscription as well.
Bajada works the other way round. Your first 3 matches come with every feature. After that, you need Pro to start a match, the statistics lock and the history shows your last 5 matches. Pro then unlocks everything for one price.
So the sums depend on what you use. If you only want the score, Padel Watch costs nothing and Bajada costs £19.99 once. If you want paid stats, Bajada's Lifetime price is below the lowest annual Premium price listed on the UK store (£24.99), but its stats are simpler, so check that they cover what you read today.
Do you need an Apple Watch for each app?
Bajada does not need one. It scores on an iPhone or iPad, and the watch adds wrist scoring and a saved workout. With a watch, you open the iPhone app once at the start, and after that the phone can stay in your bag.

Padel Watch is less clear. Its store page says keeping score "on the Apple Watch and in the iPhone app" is free, while the FAQ on its site says only users with an Apple Watch can use the app, and describes the iPhone app as the place to follow your progress. Its instructions are on a Notion page we could not read, so we mark this as unclear. If you have no watch, install it and look before you decide.

Where does Bajada fall short?
- It is new. Version 1.3.1 came out on 4 November 2026 and it has 0 ratings in every store we checked.
- It always plays a tie-break when a set is level on games, so a third set with no tie-break is not an option.
- The final-set shortcut is the super tie-break to 10; a tie-break to 7 instead of a third set is not an option.
- On a deciding point the receivers choose their side, and Bajada's side marker does not know what they chose.
- You pick the first server on the iPhone or iPad, not on the watch, and you cannot change the serving order once a match has started.
- A match in progress is not saved, so it is lost if the app is closed or crashes.
- It has no import, no export and no sync between iPhone and iPad.
If the 40-40 and tie-break terms are new to you, our guide to how padel scoring works covers them.
How do you try Bajada without losing anything?
- Keep Padel Watch installed. Your old matches stay there.
- Install Bajada on your iPhone and open it once. Its icon is labelled Padel Tracker on the iPhone and the watch.
- Set your club's 40-40 rule for Quick Match: Golden Point, Star Point or Advantage.
- Score your 3 free matches in Bajada, on the watch or the phone.
- Then decide. If you pay for Premium and move across, cancel it in your Apple subscriptions.
Are there other Padel Watch alternatives?

Questions
What is the best Padel Watch alternative?+
It depends on why you want to leave. We make Bajada, which adds scoring on iPhone and iPad, Americano and a one-time price. If you only want a free wrist counter, Padel Watch already does that well, and our comparison of six score apps covers the other options.
Is Padel Watch free?+
Its scoring is. Its site says the counter can be used without limit and free of charge, and its App Store page says advanced stats are unlocked with a subscription. The UK store listed Premium at £2.99 to £3.99 a month or £24.99 to £44.99 a year on 6 November 2026.
Is Padel Watch the same app as PadelWatch: Score & Shot Stats?+
No. Padel Watch: Padel Scorekeeper has App Store id 6443518532 and is the app linked from padel.watch. PadelWatch: Score & Shot Stats has id 6757535190 and comes from a different developer, Vitor Gustavo Hornburg.
Does Padel Watch work without an Apple Watch?+
We could not confirm it. The App Store page says keeping score in the iPhone app is free, while the FAQ on padel.watch says only users with an Apple Watch can use the app. Bajada scores on an iPhone or iPad with no watch at all.
Can I move my Padel Watch matches to Bajada?+
No. Bajada has no import, so your old matches stay in Padel Watch. Keep that app installed if you want to look back at them.

Does Bajada have any ratings yet?+
No. On 6 November 2026 Bajada had 0 ratings in every store we checked. It reached the App Store on 7 October 2026, so you would be trying a new app with no public track record.
