Looking for a PadelTick alternative? What you gain and lose with Bajada

Quick answer

The PadelTick alternative we know best is Bajada, our own app. It scores on iPhone and iPad as well as Apple Watch, while PadelTick needs a watch. PadelTick has live sharing, Americano tournaments and 91 UK ratings against Bajada's 0, so stay if you use those. Checked 6 November 2026.

Looking for a PadelTick alternative? We make Bajada, a padel score app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, so read this as a maker's comparison and test it against the sources at the end. Every fact about Padel Tracker PadelTick comes from its UK, Spanish and Italian App Store pages, Apple's lookup data and padeltick.de, checked on 6 November 2026. Every fact about Bajada comes from our own code and store pages.

PadelTick has been out for over a year longer than Bajada and has ratings to show for it. For plenty of players the right move is to stay, and we say who below.

What is the best PadelTick alternative?

That depends on why you want to leave. PadelTick's support page says you need an Apple Watch to track a match, so if you want to score from a phone, you need a different app. Bajada does that. It also covers two other common reasons: a one-time price, and an app in a language other than English or German.

If what you want is another watch app with a long record of ratings, Bajada is the wrong answer, because it has none yet. Our comparison of six padel score apps and our Apple Watch comparison cover the other options.

How do PadelTick and Bajada compare on the App Store?

Checked 6 November 2026. "Not stated" means the store pages and padeltick.de are silent on it.

What do you gain and lose by switching from PadelTick to Bajada?

We built this table for the switch itself. The PadelTick column comes from its store pages, version history and support pages, and the Bajada column from our code. It compares what those pages say, and it is not a hands-on test of PadelTick. "Not stated" means we could not find it there; PadelTick may still do it.

Count the rows and PadelTick comes out ahead on features: 5 gains against 12 losses, and two of the gains stand only because PadelTick's pages are silent. Most of the losses are about playing with other people or handling unusual matches. If you score plain club matches from a phone, few of them will touch you.

Who should stay on PadelTick?

Stay if any of these sounds like you:

  • You share matches live, or your friends join on their own watches. Bajada has nothing like this.
  • You run Americano nights and want the app to organise them. Bajada only scores the match in front of you.
  • You score for free and are happy. A UK review dated 31 July says PadelTick meets score tracking needs "without any need to pay for the subscription". Bajada's free part ends after 3 matches.
  • You play Silver Point, or set lengths other than 4, 6 or 9 games.
  • Your watch cannot run watchOS 11 or your iPhone cannot run iOS 18. PadelTick asks for one version less on both.
  • You already run a separate workout tracker. PadelTick's support page describes a switch for its automatic workouts, though calories are then not added to your matches. Bajada has no such switch.
  • You want an app that other players have already rated.

Who is Bajada the better fit for?

  • You play without an Apple Watch, or you keep score from the side of the court on an iPhone or iPad.
  • You would rather pay once than keep a subscription going.
  • You want the app in a language other than English or German. Bajada has 29, Spanish and Italian among them.
  • You like a reason to come back: XP levels, daily, weekly and monthly challenges and 47 badges.
  • You want no account, with your matches kept on your device.

Does switching save money?

Only if you pay for PadelTick+ today. Its pages do not say what the subscription adds, so check what you actually use before you count any saving.

In the UK, Bajada's £19.99 Lifetime equals about 5 months of PadelTick+ Monthly at £3.99, and 57% of a year at £34.99. In Spain and Italy, €17.99 equals about 4.5 months at €3.99, and 45% of a year at €39.99.

The monthly plans go the other way in the UK: Bajada's £4.99 is more than PadelTick+ at £3.99. In Spain and Italy both are €3.99. If you use PadelTick without paying, Bajada costs you more once your 3 free matches are gone.

How do you switch from PadelTick to Bajada?

  1. Keep PadelTick installed and play your 3 free Bajada matches first. Three real matches will show you whether the gains matter more than the losses.
  2. Set your 40-40 rule once in the Quick Match settings. Golden Point is the default, and Star Point and Advantage are there too.
  3. Expect to start from zero. Bajada has no import, so your PadelTick history and stats stay in PadelTick. PadelTick says health data is stored in Apple HealthKit, so look in Apple Health for past workouts.
  4. If you pay for PadelTick+, cancel it through Apple once you have decided.

What does Bajada not do?

Beyond the losses in the table, you should know these before you pay:

  • It is new. The live version is 1.3.1, released on 4 November 2026, and it has 0 ratings in every store we checked.
  • It always plays a tie-break when a set is level on games, so a third set with no tie-break is not an option.
  • The final-set shortcut is the super tie-break to 10; the tie-break to 7 instead of a third set is not an option.
  • On a deciding point the receivers choose their side, and Bajada's side marker does not know what they chose.
  • It runs only on Apple devices, and Pro is bought in the iPhone app.

Not sure how those rules work? Our guide to how padel scoring works covers them from the FIP rules.

If Bajada fits, get Bajada on the App Store and play your first 3 matches free. The Bajada home page shows the scoreboard and the watch app, and the support page reaches the maker directly.

Questions

What is a good alternative to PadelTick?+

It depends on why you want to leave. Bajada, our app, fits if you want to score without an Apple Watch, pay once, or use an app in Spanish or Italian. It does not replace PadelTick's live score sharing or its Americano tournaments, and on 6 November 2026 it had 0 ratings against PadelTick's 91 in the UK.

Does PadelTick work without an Apple Watch?+

Not for tracking a match. PadelTick's support page says you need an Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later and an iPhone with iOS 17 or later. An iPad or iPhone can mirror a match from the watch as a live scoreboard. Bajada scores on an iPhone or iPad with no watch.

Is PadelTick free?+

It is free to download and sells PadelTick+ by the week, month or year. Its store pages and website do not say what stays free. One UK App Store review dated 31 July says it meets the reviewer's score tracking needs without paying for the subscription.

How much does Bajada cost compared with PadelTick+?+

On the UK App Store on 6 November 2026, Bajada Pro was £19.99 once for Lifetime or £4.99 a month with a 1-week free trial. PadelTick+ was £1.99 a week, £3.99 a month or £34.99 a year. Your first 3 Bajada matches are free with every feature; after that, scoring needs Pro.

Can I move my PadelTick matches to Bajada?+

No. Bajada has no import, so your history, stats and levels start from zero. PadelTick's privacy policy says health data is stored in Apple HealthKit, so look in Apple Health for past workouts.

Does Bajada have live score sharing like PadelTick?+

No. PadelTick lets friends, teammates or coaches follow a match in real time. Bajada can share a result image after the match, and nothing during it.

Can Bajada organise an Americano like PadelTick?+

No. PadelTick's version history says it organises Americano tournaments in the app, across several courts. Bajada scores one Americano match at a time, to 16, 21, 24 or 32 points, and does not draw rounds or rotate partners.

Does PadelTick support Star Point?+

Yes. Its version history added Star Point as a deuce rule in January 2026, and later added Silver Point. Bajada has Golden Point, Star Point and Advantage, and no Silver Point.
